The importance of a good nights sleep

Sleep and the seeming epidemic of not enough sleep is really hitting the headlines recently.

We support many of our patients who have problems with their sleep and they are not alone. In 2017, the Sleep Council’s The Great British Bedtime Report discovered that 30% of us “get a poor sleep most nights” and 74%  get less than seven hours of sleep, with 12% getting less than five hours. Better sleep is thought to be the biggest single contributor to living better and has been associated with chronic illness, obesity and poor mental health.
